Welcome to Traumatology Institute and Psychological Services, Philippines, a pioneering center dedicated to transforming the landscape of trauma-informed care and training in the Philippines. Our mission goes beyond conventional training. We are invested in equipping professionals, organizations, and communities with the knowledge and systems to identify, intervene in, and heal from psychological trauma, ultimately enabling a stronger, more resilient society.
Traumatology Institute and Psychological Services, Philippines (TIPS) is an accredited training site of the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, VA, USA (GCAT) in the Philippines. GCAT is an international, non-profit organization established in 1997 to provide humanitarian assistance and professional training in traumatology.
In addition to training, the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology is involved in active deployments to areas affected by disasters and crises in the United States and other parts of the world. It is recognized as the only federally acknowledged organization that deploys trauma specialists both nationally and internationally.
The organization also collaborates with various academic and governmental institutions, such as the Veterans Administration (VA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to provide comprehensive training and ensure that its members are well-prepared for deployment in critical situations. GCAT is also acknowledged by The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress® a multidisciplinary network of professionals who are committed to the advancement of intervention for survivors of trauma.
